Hey everyone! It's been over a month but i've finally thought up of something that will get the club members back in action! Thanks to *amberwind for noting me and giving me some great and inspiring ideas! Everyone go to her page and give her 02932 comments!

This contest will be meant more as a warm-up to get the submitting of pictures back to g-l-o-v-e. After all, this club was meant to show people how talented traditional artists are and to give the members a bit of publicity. There will be no prizes, but I can give the winner a feature in g-l-o-v-e's next journal! Here's the contest:

This contest will be fantasy and creativity-based. The objective is to design a character based on one of the descriptions I will list below. I went to [link] and clicked on the first description generator that came up: the dragon generator. Here are the five descriptions:

1. This dragon has a stocky body with a wide neck. Its scales are red, shading to darker on the back of its neck and getting finer and less thick on its underbelly. On the end of its tail is a stinger. This dragon has short, powerful limbs with two closely-mounted digits on each foot that end in long claws. It has gigantic, ragged-looking, close-set, fanlike wings running from its shoulders to the end of its tail. This dragon's head is blocky. It has three beady eyes that are the color of the midnight sky. Winglike bony plates project from the back of its head. Tendrils surround its mouth. Projecting above its nose is a single horn.

2. This dragon's scales are the color of the evening sky, getting finer and less thick on its underbelly. It has a muscular body with a long tail and neck. This dragon has eight powerful limbs with three digits on each foot. It has huge , frill-like wings running from its shoulders to the middle of its tail. This dragon has a mouth that runs most of the length of its face and has a pronounced underbite. It has slanted eyes that are violet. This dragon has strange membranes that function as ears. Bony knobs surround its nostrils.

3. This dragon's scales are black. It has a thick, short body. On the end of its tail is a stinger. This dragon has six short, thick limbs with four splayed digits on each foot that end in short, sharp claws. It has gigantic, graceful, close-set wings running from its shoulders to its hips. This dragon's head is narrow and it has a huge mouth. It has slitted nostrils located on either side of its snout. This dragon has small eyes that are gray. It has no visible ears.. It has oddly thick lips. Bony knobs surround its nostrils. Two short horns extend backwards from its forhead.

4. This dragon's thick scales are silver. It has a thick, short body. This dragon has eight short, thick limbs with two digits on each foot. It has small wings running from its shoulders to its lower back. This dragon has a tiny mouth with a prounounced overbite and two tusklike teeth in front. It has slitted nostrils. This dragon has three hooded eyes that are the color of bleached bone. A mane of spines sprouts from the back of its head. Bony knobs surround its nostrils.

5. This dragon has a thick, elongated body with a stubby, thick tail and neck. Its plate-like, unreflective scales are the color of cold ashes, getting finer and less thick on its underbelly. On the end of its tail is a hooklike extension. This dragon has elongated, muscular limbs with four digits on each foot that end in blunt claws. It has close-set wings. A row of bony plates runs from the base of its skull, down its back, to the tip of its tail. This dragon's head is wide and it has a mouth that runs most of the length of its face and has a prounounced overbite. It has large nostrils located close together. This dragon has deep-set eyes that are vermillion. It has large holes for ears. Spiky, bony knobs surround its mouth. Bony knobs surround its nostrils.


Choose one of those descriptions and draw a dragon character based on that description! I haven't really decided on a deadline yet - I'll have to see how many people actually submit something for this contest. When i decide that the contest is done, I'll make a poll where anyone can vote on who's drawing they like best. The winner will be announced soon after. I think I'll do one myself, just because g-l-o-v-e needs more pictures to put in its gallery.



So, aside from the contest...

I can't seem to figure out where Chel put all the deviations after she left...I have a feeling she deleted them all and we're gonna have to start over building the g-l-o-v-e gallery . I have a few deviations that I want to put up, and *amberwind has noted me about giving me some of hers.
